The Miles Foundation Welcomes Kate Wisniewski as Director of Programs

FORT WORTH – The Miles Foundation proudly announces Kate Wisniewski as its new Director of Programs. The Foundation’s prior Director of Programs, Jay McCall, will join The Rainwater Charitable Foundation in Fort Worth, serving as Program Manager of Education.

Ms. Wisniewski brings valuable experience to this role given her background in the nonprofit and education fields.  As the Vice President of Development at Dallas Afterschool, Ms. Wisniewski helped guide the organization in the advancement of its program quality initiative, while building key strategic relationships that helped further the organization’s mission. In partnership with SMU’s Center on Research and Evaluation, Kate helped facilitate joint learning opportunities and best practice utilization among agencies in order to track and measure progress and consistently increase access to quality programs for children most in need.

Prior to Dallas Afterschool, Ms. Wisniewski served in community engagement roles with the Great Hearts Academies charter school network and the University of Dallas. Ms. Wisniewski has a passion for education and a commitment to continuous learning in this space in order to identify and promote practical, effective strategies that boost academic achievement and family success.

In his transition to The Rainwater Charitable Foundation, Jay McCall will continue his work to strengthen and support local schools, education leaders, and community partners to help children and families thrive. Mr. McCall has been a key team member for The Miles Foundation, having served as Director of Programs since 2012.

“We view this transition as a win-win for our foundations and our community,” said Grant Coates, President and CEO of The Miles Foundation. “Kate brings a data lens, fresh perspective, and new energy to our work at The Miles Foundation, and Jay’s trusted expertise at The Rainwater Charitable Foundation will expand our shared philanthropic capacity for collaboration and impact in Fort Worth.”

Ms. Wisniewski graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma, and earned her M.B.A. from the University of Dallas. She will begin her position effective immediately, and can be reached at kwisniewski@milesfdn.org or 817.293.5555.
